Another from the bestselling romance I'm reading (which I would totally name because it is such a fun read, but that wouldn't be nice because I'm pointing out editing errors...) The two that have caught my notice have been what I call "spellcheck errors" -- meaning the spelling is perfect, but the usage is incorrect. These are also errors that tired writers who know better but have been slaving away under deadline and have grown weary of looking at the same words over and over often glance over because they sound right when read out loud or in our heads.
